After the hugh success of the “Spotlight on FOSS” DVD that AppleUsers.org prepared for Software Freedom Day 2011, we have decided to relaunch the AppleUsers.org Disc of the Month Project, and open it up to all Apple User Groups, Globally!

The distribution of the “Spotlight on FOSS” Disc Golden Master and Disc Label via our own BitTorrent tracker (with backups of UserNext’s and two Open, Public Trackers) proved extremely easy and fast for us to upload and for groups from around the globe to download – and the “Spotlight on FOSS” torrent is still alive and available for downloading.

Although the project will continue to be called “Disc of the Month” we aren’t yet re-committing to such a gruelling production schedule. We currently envisage titles to be released every two or three months and the best way to stay informed of new releases is to subscribe to our AppleUsers-Announce mailing list.

The first title we will be releasing to all Apple User Groups will be “Festive Celebrations” – a Disc that merges two titles that we had previously released to Australian Apple User Groups, Festive Fun II and Celebrations Galore, which were full of Holiday focused clipart, images, fonts, greeting cards, colouring books and more, on to a single DVD.
